The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the break down application.

This X-option rotor knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most break down applications. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

Here we offer you a suitable combination of insensitivity to wear and tear and toughness at the same time.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

We underline that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

This rotor knife is 210mm long, 90mm wide and 20mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 50°.
