Compatibility with machines:

The rotor knife is perfectly fitting for cutting millses from Hosokawa Alpine AG.

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the service life can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adapted to the input.

In the Y-option, this spare part is made of alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variant is approx. 5% harder than the X-version, which results in a longer durability. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching the rotor knife, please ensure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
