Through the use of various materials and varying the cutting geometry, the spare part can be customised to the application area in terms of throughput and longevity.

The rotor knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-version, which is the standard variation in most operational scenarios.

Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching the rotor knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

General characteristics:

The rotor knife is 304mm long, 75mm wide and 17mm high.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 55/50°.
