This X-variation rotor knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variant in most application scenarios. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the cutting tools. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching the rotor knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 60°.
