The performance of the cutting tool depends chiefly on the variation of the material and cutting geometry.

The spare part presented is made of tool steel in the X-version, which is our standard variant for most application areas. The hardness of this rotor knife is in the medium range.

Here we offer you a suitable combination of insensitivity to wear and tear and toughness at the same time.

Products of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the products. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching the rotor knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

General characteristics:

The measures of the rotor knife are 456mm long, 63mm wide and 9.7mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 20°/30°.
