The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the service life can be impacted by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the application scenario.

In the X-variant, this rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

We underline that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

The component measures 510mm in length, 88mm in width and 24mm in height.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 55°/45°.
