This X-variant rotor knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variation in most break down applications. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Cutting tools of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

We underline that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
