This cutting tool can be configured to the break down application, depending on the different materials and varying shape.
In the Y-option, this item is made of alloyed tool steel. The scraper in this version is approx. 5% harder than the X-variation, which results in a longer service life. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the lifetime of the scraper.
Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
The scraper is sold as a whole set, consisting of 6 parts.
This spare part suits knives and cutters with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the broad range of models, other configuration variations may be available.
When attaching, please also assure that the support of the scrapers is in an intact condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
