Through the use of particular materials and the variance in the cutting shape, the product can be matched to the area of application in terms of throughput and knife life.

In the Y-variation, this spare part is made of alloyed tool steel. The stator knife in this version is approx. 5% harder than the X-variant, which results in a longer service life. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

In this option, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the stator knife wears evenly over its lifespan.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 75°.
