The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the input.

In the Y-variation, this component is made of alloyed tool steel. The stator knife in this version is approx. 5% harder than the X-option, which results in a longer operating time. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the stator knife.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will seriously weaken the structure.

The measures of the stator knife are 199.5mm long, 57mm wide and 14mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 75°.
