This component shown is made of tool steel in the X-variant, which is our standard variation for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this stator knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Components of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the cutting tools. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
