The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant effect on the insensitivity and service life.

Knives in this W-variation are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variant and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The spare part is produced out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it suitable for demanding areas of applications. However this option has a shorter tool lifespan.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the tool life of the stator knife.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the items. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

The stator knife is 390mm long, 110mm wide and 28mm high.
