The X-variation of this item is made of tool steel. The cutting tool has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-versions.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the lifetime of the stator knife.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the products. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
