The component presented is made of tool steel in the X-option, which is our standard version for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this stator knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

In this variant, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the stator knife wears consistently over its lifetime.

We highlight that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the stator knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
