The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be impacted by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well customised to the input material.

In the X-version, this stator knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Cutting tools of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

We emphasise that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the stator knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

The measurements of the stator knife are 530mm long, 87mm wide and 22mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 70°.
