The component shown is made of tool steel in the X-option, which is our standard version for most areas of application. The hardness of this stator knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the stator knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the stator knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
