In this option, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the stator knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.
