Knives in this W-variation are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variant and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The part is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it suitable for demanding areas of applications. However this option has a shorter durability.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the tool life of the stator knife.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

When installing, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an intact condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
