The wear behaviour and thus also the longevity can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the performance can be well customised to the input material.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-option, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-variant. This means that a longer durability can be secured. In comparison, however, the stator knife is more susceptible to impurities, which can lead to breakage more quickly.

Products of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the stator knife, please ensure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

This stator knife is 995mm long, 100mm wide and 22mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 75°.
