This X-variant stator knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most application areas. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the tool life of the stator knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this option, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 75°.
