Cutting performance and durability:

The performance of the cutting tool depends largely on the version of the material and cutting geometry.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-option and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-variation suitable for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this variant has a shorter tool life.

In this option, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the stator knife wears evenly over its lifespan.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

The stator knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching the stator knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 83°.
