» Further information on the manufacturer TRIA can be found below.
Who is Tria?
TRIA has been producing granulators for shredding plastics since 1954. Now in its third generation, the family business has grown together with the plastics industry.
Because TRIA focused on film extrusion, thermoforming and blow moulding at an early stage, the company is now one of the leading manufacturers of granulators in this field. In addition, TRIA offers granulators for a wide range of applications in plastics processing.
Customers benefit from technical innovations and the high quality standard, which results in high plant reliability at very low costs. In addition to its headquarters in Cologno Monzese, Italy, TRIA operates its own subsidiaries in China, the USA, Brazil and Germany. There, the GmbH Recycling- und Zerkleinerungsmaschinen operates at the Willich site. In Sao Paulo, the mills are manufactured to European quality standards.
Trias develops customised solutions: Central systems, edge strip system or post-consumer.
TRIA granulators have a screening area of 50 percent of the rotor cutting circle. This area enables a high throughput rate as well as a short dwell time of the material to be ground in the grinding chamber. This results in low noise and dust levels.
TRIA granulators have pre-adjustable knives. The supplied setting gauge helps with the correct presetting. This reduces the downtime of the mill to a minimum. Difficult adjustment work in the mill is no longer necessary.
Hardened grinding chambers increase the service life: TRIA has already equipped the grinding chambers of all models of the 20, 30 and 42 series with a hardened surface in the standard version. The company also offers corresponding solutions for sieves and knives.
When developing machines, TRIA engineers pay strict attention to ensuring that the mills offer an optimal gap between the rotor and stator knives as well as the optimal distance to the screen surface at all times. This ensures the best cutting process at all times. The result is a first-class, homogeneous ground product with very low fines content. With the best cutting quality, the motor power to be installed can be reduced. This reduces the mechanical load on the mill.
All TRIA mills from the 30 series onwards have connections for cooling the grinding chambers. This allows customers who process very hot materials inline to carry out their grinding process without difficulty. The cooling reduces blade wear and prevents hot parts from sticking in the grinding chamber. In addition, this solution is ideally suited for grinding very temperature-sensitive materials.
All TRIA cutting mills are equipped with generously dimensioned precision bearings flanged directly to the grinding chamber housing. In the connections with large, heavy pulleys, the kinetic energy is optimally used to grind the plastic. This enables the use of motors with low installed power and the elimination of an additional pulley. The result is the lowest cost per kg of ground material.
