Who is Rapid?
Rapid Granulator AB was founded in 1942 in Bredaryd, Sweden. Local producers of plastic mouldings asked the company to develop a granulator, which it did in close cooperation with the client. It was the beginning of a successful business development in the field of volume reduction of plastics. Today, the company is completely focused on manufacturing a comprehensive range of granulators and cutting mills for in-house recycling. By designing and manufacturing high-performance granulators for direct in-house recycling of plastic waste, the manufacturer increases the profitability of plastics processing companies. The company has built a reputation for producing cutting mills that meet all the needs of the plastics industry. This has made the company the world's largest exporter of plastic shredding equipment. This is also reflected in the fact that more than 100,000 Rapid cutting mills have been delivered to customers worldwide.

The OneCUT PRO is a highly efficient, energy-saving low-speed grinder that can produce top-quality ground material. It benefits from unique Rapid innovations such as FlexiSPEED technology and the Open-Hearted design, which makes cleaning and maintenance much easier.

The 150 Series is primarily designed to be integrated into the injection moulding process as an auxiliary mill. Direct in-line recycling of plastic scrap offers several advantages. These include cost and material savings, improved material flow management and environmentally friendly production.

The 200 Series granulators are ideal for in-line recycling of rejects and production-related plastic residues from injection moulding and blow moulding. A standard model meets exact capacity requirements up to 200kg/h. The large number of standard alternatives, such as different grinding chamber widths, rotor configuration, rotor speed, unloading system, etc., allows customers to choose the granulator best suited to their production.

The great advantage of the Open-Hearted design concept is the direct and easy access to the inside of the machine and the resulting extremely short cleaning and maintenance times. This in turn speeds up production changes and increases availability. The unobstructed view of elementary machine components also facilitates reliable visual inspections for cleanliness to rule out contamination during colour and material changes.
The Open-Hearted machines are ideal as high-performance central or auxiliary mills for all types of injection moulding residues, such as sprues, rejects and manifold spiders, but also for blow moulding residues and extrusion residues, including pipes, profiles, sheets and films.
Rapid Granulator LBB 300 Series

The new LBB Series 300 is an extremely low profile granulator series offered in three widths 900 mm, 1200 mm and 1500 mm. Typical applications are production residues from thermoforming lines for plastic packaging. In addition to die-cutting scrap of all kinds, it also processes complete films into high-quality regrind. The fully integrated reel infeed, which is up to 1,500 mm wide, draws the film material directly from the thermoforming machine in continuous operation. The infeed is automatically synchronised with the speed of the thermoforming machine.

RAPTOR shredders are unique in many ways. They are designed to handle all types of plastics, whether large 1,200 litre IBC containers or heavy lumps, all are efficiently recycled. The new patented Rapid QuadCUT™ blade design offers four true cutting edges per blade in one solid piece, making the blades the hardest available on the market. The knives are clamped in a tremendously strong design, including a shock absorber that protects the rotor from being destroyed in the event of a sudden impact from metal accidentally entering the cutter housing, etc.
The shredders are available in two widths, 800 and 1350 mm. The standard version is equipped with FlexiPUSH (pneumatic pusher). For voluminous, light goods, a TopPUSH (pneumatic) can be added. If additional power is required, the PowerPUSH version (hydraulic pusher) is recommended.
Rapid ThermoPRO
Simplicity – ThermoPRO is coming with the unique “Open-Hearted” design as standard that drastically simplifies cleaning, service and preventive maintenance. Direct access to the heart of the machine in less than a minute!Extra heavy duty – The new heavy duty roller feed is designed to compress and feed cups up to 200 mm height, eliminating all manual handling at e.g. startups. – Grind all material and feed it back to the production process again without risk of contamination.
We know that the difference between profit loss in the thermoforming industry will often come down to how efficiently you can recycle. All granulators can handle in-line skeleton waste, but with ThermoPRO you can get more from your raw materials whilst doing less manual work.
